    Considerable interest is being evinced in the contest* at the Opera House on Thursday night next lietween Harry* Casey, of Queensland, and Eugene Volaire, of France. The principals are now in Gisborne, and their appearance at the training rooms last night drew a large attendance of the public. Eugene Volaire was born in Avignon, France, in 1893, and commenced his boxing career in 1914. Since then he has boxed in the principal countries of the world, including France, Italy, England, America, Philippine .Islands, Australia and New Zealand.
