Pulse: Tell us about your comeback project?
Collo: The album is called Since 85 and it will tell the story of my life and personal growth. Apart from my music, people should watch out for the new Collo. I am now a lifestyle in regard to my music career.
P: It has been a while since you released an album. Why the delay?
C: Transitioning from a group act (Kleptomaniacs) to a solo artiste has not been easy. Apart from working on my album, I have also been consulting on how to rebrand myself.
P: You have been a major force in moulding Camp Mulla to their current urban hip-hop credit. What is the connection?
C: I have always known Marcus (K-Kus) from way back as I have a strong relationship with Suzanne Gachukia and Gido (who produce the group). I met the rest of the group back in I wanted to see them penetrate into the game and promised to help them succeed. I believe I have and I am happy that I was part of the whole transition.
P: With so many hip-hop freshmen threatening the hip-hop status quo, do you still justify your title as King of Rap?
